How do we have the time to build a custom home when we both have other full-time responsibilities?

You cannot afford to work with an inexperienced builder who will require you to personally take control of your custom home building project. The Heritage Luxury Homes team collectively oversees the construction of each home we build as carefully as if it were our own. We manage the progression of your special project with a keen eye on timelines and uncompromised quality standards.

How does the weather affect the building process?

We build all year round, 12 months per year. Today´s technology allows the building process to begin at any time of year. Even during January and February, there are windows of opportunity when foundations can be poured without any difficulty. Concrete sidewalks, stone driveways and masonry work cannot be cnstructed during extreme cold, but these can always be deferred without any effect on the overall schedule.

How much supervision will my house have during construction?

Your main point of contact, an experienced construction professional and client liaison, will visit your construction site each day and will be in communication with you throughout the process.

It is reasonable to assume that more complex detailing and finishing will add to the cost of a project. There are also some styles that require more time to build than others. But the choice is yours. You design it, we build it.

Will we spend more by the time our home is completed?

Any increases in the end-purchase price are the direct result of material change orders or upgrades selected by the homeowner. An integral part of your purchase/build contract is an extensive, line-by-line itemized description of everything that is included in your home. Should you not want any particular item, we will credit you the allocated amount.

When should we put our current home on the market?

The timing is your decision. We find that people often build a custom home when they have six months or more to sell their current home.

Will you build our house on our site using our architect?

Yes. In working with your previsouly selected architect, we often offer suggestions for plan adjustments, including siting of the house, grading and drainage of the property, etc., as part of our proposal. This helps better manage construction time and the overall cost of the project.

What if we already have a site to build on?

Excellent!! Our team of industry professionals can coordinate relevant due diligence issues pertaining to the site to evaluate the feasibility of a custom build on your site. These issues may include soil testing, environmental testing, topographical surveys, zoning regulations, and architectural review board guidelines, etc.

What kind of warranty should we expect on our custom home?

Heritage Luxury Homes provides a full one-year warranty on your home. The appliances in your home will come with an extended 5 or 6-year service warranty. Additionally, Heritage Luxury Homes also provides, free of charge, a one-year paint touch-up service for any cracking, millwork separation or settling-related issues in your home.
